Noxiousness level in compliance with 88/379 EEC: irritating DESCRIPTION Alkali-freeliquidsettingacceleratoradditiveforwetprojectedconcreteandmortar(shotcrete).UsingDRANI-TE A.F. enables you to achieve shorter setting times, minimal waste and superior tensile strength. APPLICATIONS DRANITE A.F. is particularly recommended for: • preliminary phase projected concrete coatings for tunnels; • repairs of existing tunnels; • reinforcing soil, rock and embankments; • repairing and reinforcing concrete structures; • repairing and reinforcing retaining walls/bulkheads, dam faces, canal walls, reservoirs, etc. ADVANTAGES Shotcrete with DRANITE A.F. offers: • high initial and final tensile strength; • superior resistance to aggressive chemical agents and washout; • no alkali-aggregate reaction, as alkali content is <1% by weight; • superior thixotropic property and decreased application waste; •reducedenvironmentalimpactbecause,conversely,sodiumsilicateisahighlyalkalineacceleratorwith wide-rangingapplications,enablingyoutoobtainlesspollutingcement-basedmixes,astheyhavelowalka-line eluate content; •compatibilitywithotherproductsinouradditiveline(e.g.,aeratingagentsforconcreteresistanttofrostand thaw). PROPORTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS DRANITEA.F.shouldbeusedinaproportionof5-8kgbasedoncementweight.Theproductshouldbeadded toconcretebeforestartingtheprojectionprocessviathepropernozzlefittingsprovidinguniformadditive dispersion in the concrete. DRANITE A.F. must be used with concrete having the following ingredients (reference amounts): • cement: 400^500 kg/m2; • aggregates: max. 8 - 10 mm; • FLUIBETON 950 AE/S superfluidifier: 1-1.2% based on cement and FILLCRETE weight; • DRANITE A.F. accelerator: 5-8% based on cement weight; • FILLCRETE additive (silica fume): 5-10% based on cement weight. Thetypeandproportionofcement,FILLCRETEandFLUIBETONtouseshouldbedeterminedbasedonthe results required with the projected concrete and preliminary on-site testing.
