Heat pumps The heat pump miracle. Simply more efficiency. Simply lower heating costs. The refrigeration circuit has been around for more than 150 years. Over 40 years ago it formed the basis for the first heat pump at the Dimplex plant in Kulmbach, and it’s still turning heads. How can it be possible to draw enough energy from the environment to heat a whole house, or a building complex – including hot water for showers? Whether it’s 30 °C outside or well below freezing, no other heating system is more efficient, more economical or more environmentally friendly.

Heat pumps Heating The heat pump is the only heating system that can heat as well as cool, which means it can guarantee comfortable temperatures no matter what the weather’s doing. Even if it gets down to -22  in winter, the heat pump ensures °C that no-one in the house will freeze. It draws the necessary heat from the ground or from groundwater, then actively brings it up to the desired temperature using the compressor in the refrigeration circuit.
