Ten Generations Two Traditions The earliest family member on record is John Hunt, born in 1687 and listed as a master brass founder, making fine candlesticks during the reign of James II. Spinning Sixties The late 1950s saw a long-awaited revival of design, manufacture and innovation. The post-war shortages of labour and raw materials were finally at an end and a young David Hunt founded our current factory on the northern edge of the Cotswolds. Our fabric shades can be made in any of the colours featured in our house collection of luxury satins, silks and linens shown on pages 286 to 289. We can also create fully bespoke shades using your own choice of fabric, subject to suitability testing.
