Helial D : Aluminium supporting structure system for solar panels on a flat roof
The Helial®D is an aluminium supporting structure system designed for solar panels on flat roofs. It complies with Eurocodes and is adjustable in three directions to facilitate installation. The system is compatible with current thermal regulations.
System Components
- Posts with shoe plates D, mechanically fixed into the roof slab, including a sleeve-plate factory-coated with bituminous primer and an elastomer collar for flashing.
- Two beams measuring 99 x 54 mm.
- Two triangular supporting structures for each panel.
Design and Installation
The system requires design calculations to be submitted by the manufacturer. It is adjustable at the foot of the post, at the joints between posts and beams, and at the joints between beams and triangular structures. A detailed setting out drawing is provided by the manufacturer based on site dimensions.
Approval and Installation Requirements
Drawings must be approved by the Design Team before manufacturing begins. Installation must be carried out by a qualified contractor in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
