Product catalog summary
Introduction to Acoustic Insulation
In recent years, the demand for home comfort has increased, with a focus on both energy efficiency and acoustic comfort. Poor acoustic insulation can lead to sleep disturbances, irritability, and reduced productivity, affecting property value and habitability certification. Noise in buildings is categorized as airborne, impact, or from technical installations.

Regulations and Standards
The D.P.C.M. 05/12/97 and UNI 11367:2010 standards classify residential areas and set passive acoustic requirements to improve acoustic comfort. U-Boot Silence is designed to meet these standards, providing excellent insulation for airborne and impact noise, placing buildings in Class I for acoustic performance.

Product Specifications
U-Boot Silence is a polyethylene acoustic insulation mantle with a density of 35 kg/m3 and a thickness of 8 mm. It is designed for use with U-Boot Beton® slabs, offering durability, ease of installation, and resistance to various environmental factors.

Installation Procedure
Installation involves preparing the substrate, laying U-Boot Silence, and creating a floating screed. Proper sealing with Rotocell AD tape is crucial to prevent sound transmission. The screed should be well-compacted, and excess material trimmed after flooring completion.

Performance and Testing
Laboratory tests according to UNI EN ISO standards show that U-Boot Silence provides superior acoustic insulation compared to traditional systems, achieving Class I performance. The product is subject to updates, and users are advised to consult Daliform Group for the latest information.

Installation The installation must be done in a rigorous manner and with particular care to avoid sound transmission to occur that would compromise the final result. The installation steps are: preparation of the substrate, laying of U-Boot Silence, making of the floating screed. 1 Prepare the installation surface (which will be placed on the 2 Fix the edging strip to the wall at "at least" the same height as that of soundproofing mantle U-Boot Silence) so as to be smooth, clean and free of foreign objects that may cause perforation of the mantle or reduce the performance. the screed plus that...

Laboratory Tests Empirical evidence on the level of acoustic insulation have been obtained by laboratory tests, carried out according to UNI EN ISO 1403:2006, 140-6:2000, 717-1:2007, 717-2:2007 standards, on a plate slab lightened with the construction system U-Boot Beton®. The results of unfinished slabs, are better than traditional masonry systems both in terms of airborne noise and by impact. Even more important is the outcome of the acoustic tests of the slabs lightened with U-Boot Beton® on which was created a floating floor with a soundproofing mantle U-Boot Silence, which showed values...
