OUR FACILITIES Cristal Pontevedresa has two factories with more than 18.000 m2 and with the latest technologies for manufacturing laminated, tempered and curved glass. 01 02

Tempered glass is a safety glass that offers an extraordinary shock resistance, up to six times stronger than standard glass. Float glass is taken through a fur- nace that gradually heats it abo- ve its annealing point of about 700 °C. The glass is then rapidly cooled with forced air drafts ma- king it harder than normal glass. This thermal shock causes a mo- lecular tension or endurance, enabling glass a higher mecha- nical resistance to compression and traction.
