Product catalog summary
Specifications:
Corrugated Metals, Inc. offers durable color finishes in Corasil™, Coranar™, and Corasol™. They provide a variety of metal options including Aluminum, Aluminized I & II, Galvannealed, Stainless Steel, Cor-Ten HSLA, Hot-Dipped Galvanized (G-90 to G-285), Cold Rolled CQ, and Prepainted Galvanized & Aluminum. The company offers design consultation and fabrication using an in-house CAD system, with panels cut to exact length specifications. Additional services include stucco embossing, perforating, laminating, and precision curving.
Product Offerings:
CMI manufactures a wide range of roofing, siding, and architectural panels using advanced roll forming equipment, capable of producing panels with up to 48” coverage. These products are suitable for industrial, institutional, and commercial projects.
Load and Span Specifications:
  • Steel: Maximum allowable stress for Grade A is 20,000 PSI for roofs and 26,667 PSI for walls under wind load. Loads and spans are based on the AISI Cold Formed Steel Design Manual.
  • Aluminum: Maximum allowable stress is 15,000 PSI (FC) and 17,000 PSI (FT) for roofs and side walls, with stresses increased by 1/3 for wind loading. Loads and spans are based on the Aluminum Formed Sheet Building Sheathing Design Guide.
Roof loads are for positive loads only, in addition to the weight of the panel. Siding loads account for both positive and negative loading.
Panel Types and Load Capacities:
Various panel types such as 2.67” Industrial Roofing and Siding, 4” Box Ribs, 8” Box Ribs, and V-Beam are detailed with specific live load capacities and span capabilities for different materials and thicknesses. Each panel type has specific load and span data for both roof and wall applications under different live load conditions (20 PSF to 50 PSF).
Procedures and Standards:
Hat-shape and Zee-shape subgirts should be placed at every structural support. Loads and spans for carbon steel are based on AISI Cold-Formed Steel Design Manual, and for aluminum on Aluminum Formed Sheet Building Sheathing Design Guide. Spans are for positive and negative loading, with deflection limits of L/180 for steel and L/60 for aluminum under wind pressure of 20 lbs. per sq. ft.
Recommendations:
Stiffening beads and stucco embossing are recommended in all relatively flat sections to minimize oil canning. Architectural panels used as a field-assembled wall system will not provide the flatness of a foam panel wall system.
Product Characteristics:
Architectural Wall Panels may exhibit waviness known as "oil canning," which is not a cause for rejection. Maximum allowable stress for Grade A steel is 20,000 PSI for roofs and 26,667 PSI for walls. For aluminum, the maximum allowable stress is 15,000 PSI (FC) and 17,000 PSI (FT) for roof and side wall, with stresses increased by 1/3 for wind loading.
Load Tables:
Load tables for various panel types and spans are provided, detailing live load capacities and corresponding span lengths for different materials and thicknesses.
