Cast stone is designed to mimic natural stone in appearance and performance, offering a durable and cost-effective alternative for both new builds and refurbishments.
Applications and Benefits: Cast stone is suitable for a variety of projects, from domestic housing to complex commercial buildings. It is particularly advantageous in heritage areas due to its ability to match natural stone finishes. The material can be formed into almost any shape and size, providing flexibility in design.

Production Process: The production of cast stone requires skill, care, and the application of technology. The color and texture of the stone are achieved using crushed rock fines, graded natural sands, and white cement, with the option to extend the range of shades using grey cement and pigments.
Curing Importance: Proper curing is essential for the stone's resistance to damage during transport and construction, as well as for its long-term durability and appearance.

Cast and Reconstituted Stone-1

CAST AND RECONSTITUTED STQNE Cornish Concrte Products can fabricate reconstituted stone units for many varied features. Units are predominantly wet cast and acid etched or rubbed, but can also be manufactured using the semi-dry method at the client's request. Cast stone's clever use of cement and other materials makes it an appropriate and attractive product for use in both new build and refurbishment projects. It is durable, long lasting and can match the appearance of many natural stone finishes. These qualities make cast stone an obvious choice for buildings in heritage areas as well as new developments. Cast stone is comparable to natural stone as a building material in both appearance and performance, yet it is readily available and provides a cost effective alternative on projects from simple domestic housing to complicated schemes such as commercial buildings. It can be formed to almost any shape and size the designer wishes and can equal, or even surpass, the technical capabilities of natural stone in terms of strength, moisture penetration and colouring. This special form of concrete calls for particular skill and care and application of technology in its production. Major advances have been made in mix design, batching, manufacture and curing. The manufacturera aim is to produce a material, which resembles the quarried product as closely as possible. The colour and texture of most stones can now be matched using crushed rock fines and/ or carefully selected and graded natural sands, usually mixed with white cement. The range of shades can be extended by the use of grey cement and pigments. Correct curing of all types of cast stone is essential both for the resistance to damage during transport and construction as well as durability and appearance over time.
