Handle with care, inspect upon arrival, and store indoors or covered. Acclimate pavers to the installation environment for 48 hours.
Prepare a complete installation mock-up per TCNA guidelines, blending pavers from multiple crates to show tonal variations. The mock-up should be reviewed and accepted before full installation.
For mortar set, level the substrate and ensure it is clean and cured. For sand set, compact the substrate to 98% standard proctor density. For pedestal set, prepare the substrate according to the pedestal manufacturer's specifications.
Mortar Set: Use Laticrete products for adhesion, blend pavers for natural variation, and maintain proper grout joints.
Sand Set: Spread and compact the sand bed, lay pavers with spacers, and fill joints with polymeric sand.
Pedestal Set: Follow the pedestal manufacturer's specifications and ensure proper load support.
Thoroughly clean pavers and apply a quality impregnator sealer like Drytreat Stain-Proof. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application.
Regular maintenance includes wet-scrubbing and sealing. Reapply sealer when water no longer beads on the surface.
Wet-scrub with a floor machine and apply thin coats of sealer. Allow appropriate cure time before use.
