Following the Japanese notion of wabi-sabi, the acceptance of imperfection, the Ume explores ideas of geometry and asymmetry. Beginning with the side table, the Anvil develops into a more complex, functional furniture system with a consistent aesthetic, yet the broader functionality of modular storage and low tables.
