HYBRID 8-25

Product catalog summary
Product Overview:
The Hybrid Universal Clip 8-25 is designed for decking installations, offering high tensile strength and the ability to absorb decking movements. It is compatible with both wood and aluminium joists and reversible blades ranging from 20 to 26 mm in thickness and up to 150 mm in width. The clip can be dismantled locally and features a honeycomb structure to absorb wood swelling.
Material and Design:
The clip is made from black UV-resistant polypropylene, ensuring regular spacing between blades. It includes a self-drilling point for easy fixing in wood or aluminium. The bi-material clip comes with factory-fitted stainless steel screws for quick installation, featuring a Torx grip for precision. The asymmetrical design includes a clawed side for firm blade holding and a curved side for easy positioning and wood expansion.
Specifications:
  • Stainless steel AISI 304 fin: 30 mm wide, 1.8 mm thick, matte black lacquered.
  • Stainless steel screws: 4.8 x 43 mm AISI410, with a Torx TX20 head and self-drilling tip.
  • Drilling capacity: 4 mm in aluminium, suitable for hardwood with a density up to 900 kg/m3.
Installation and Benefits:
The Cobra Airspacer promotes ventilation between the board and joist, reducing the shearing effect on screws. The installation involves fitting start/end clips, laying boards, and securing with Hybrid clips. Clamps are recommended for optimal screwing. Maximum authorized spacing is 13 mm, with specific humidity requirements for different wood types.
Installation Tips:
  • Recommended for kiln-dried exotic timber with around 18% moisture content.
  • Suitable for various wood types including Ipé, Padouck, and Teak.
  • Double joisting is advised at board ends.
Replacement Procedure:
To replace a blade, unscrew and spread clips, remove the old blade, position the new one, and secure it with clips.
Packaging:
Available in packages of 90 pieces, with specific codes for ordering.
