Claystone© (bi-‐component) Clay-‐based coating CLAYLIME sprl Avenue Monplaisir, 77 BE 1030 BRUSSELS Belgium Complete, microporous and breathable system, composed of a dry mix of clays, carbonates, silicates, aluminates and 0.5 mm quartz which is mixed with a VOC-‐free JES05 polymer binder and a natural pigment selected from the ClayLime range. Claystone's 30-‐colour chart offers natural pigments that have been tested and approved by ClayLime; the pigment packaging corresponds to the quantity needed for the 15 kg or 3.75 kg Claystone kits. Since the mineral and natural pigments can vary slightly depending on production, the recommendation for larger surfaces is to mix together enough kits and pigments in order to avoid any colour difference during application. Decorative coating finish for interior floors, interior and exterior walls, bathrooms, furniture and work-‐ tops. Suitable for homes, hotels, shopping centres, showrooms, shops, restaurants... Kit for 8 to 10 m²: 15 kg powder + 3 litres of JES05 polymer Mini-‐Kit for 2 to 2.5 m²: 3.75 kg of powder + 0.75 litres of JES05 polymer Applied in 2 layers of +/-‐ 1.5 mm each on any surface that is sturdy, smooth, clean, dry, grease-‐free, without cracks or vibrations, prepared and protected appropriately according to its purpose (see below). Claystone is not cement-‐based and does not crack as long as the support and application meet the required criteria. Family 1 -‐ Class 7b2 -‐ Fire classification M0 Behaviour, appearance Rheology-‐controlled coating with high-‐adhesion and high-‐resistance features + JES05 polymer binder to be mixed with the same quantity of water. Surface preparation The support or surface needs to be solid, smooth, clean, completely dry, stable and free of vibrations, cracks, dust, grease and traces of any substance that might prevent the coating from adhering properly. The surface needs to be completely sturdy and unable to vibrate. The surface needs to absorb evenly. Gently clean the surfaces to remove any mould or parts that are less adhesive or cohesive using mechanical washing or abrasion. Surfaces that are subject to vibrations, risks of cracking, etc. must first be coated with a layer of glue containing a PVC mesh, itself...
