Antibacterial Technology Overview
CINCA employs a thin layer of nanoparticles, subjected to a special thermal process, to create the unique properties of SafeTile. These nanoparticles, with diameters generally below 100 nm, chemically bond with the ceramic surface during the thermal process. This bonding imparts self-sterilizing properties to the surface in the presence of natural or artificial light, significantly reducing bacteria and fungi on SafeTile surfaces. Additionally, it aids in decomposing volatile organic compounds (VOC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) present in polluted atmospheres.
Applications and Recommendations
SafeTile products are ideal for large-scale public or private projects where self-sterilizing and super hydrophilic properties are crucial, such as in hospitals, healthcare centers, elderly day-care centers, public areas in large buildings, and external cladding for multi-storey buildings. In residential settings, they are beneficial in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living rooms due to their odor decomposition and air purification capabilities.
International Standard TestingSafeTile products have undergone international standard testing, including:
- Antibacterial test (ISO 27447): Achieves more than 95% reduction in bacterial colonies within 4 hours.
- Antifungal test (ISO 27447): Achieves more than 85% reduction in fungal colonies within 4 hours.
Key Features- Self Sterilizing: Reduces the presence of organic substances, bacteria, and fungi on ceramic surfaces.
- Superhydrophilic Continuous Action: Allows oil spots to be easily washed away with water, preserving surfaces from dirt and stains.
- Air Purification: Decomposes odors and organic substances, contributing to reduced air pollution.
- Environmentally Friendly: Enhances safety without the use of harmful chemicals.
