CHILEWICH LAUNCHES 2015 – 2016 CONTRACT COLLECTION NEW YORK - Chilewich Sultan LLC is launching their new 2015-2016 collection this summer. The collection focuses on three main introductions; Plynyl® Plank Floor Tiles, White with Silver Textiles and White with Gold Textiles. WOVEN PLANK PLYNYL® TILES take advantage of new manufacturing techniques that Chilewich developed and allow for new shapes and sizes of flooring products to be made. The Woven Plank shape (6" x 36") was chosen to allow for ease of installation and to highlight the inherent bi-directional quality of Chilewich’s woven textiles. The visual effect of the Woven Plank Tiles is one of strong linearity, similar to other natural materials, such as wood or stone. The unique feature of Woven Plank though, is that this specific shape highlights the joints between the planks. Unlike carpet tile that can be visually monolithic when installed, woven fabrics by their nature cannot be monolithic. The Woven Plank highlights the edges of the planks and makes them a design feature of the product, giving designers a new tool to use the product to enhance a room’s visual appeal. Woven Plank Tiles are available with a vinyl backing or BioFelt® backing. Joe Sultan, CEO, elaborates on the new design, “It’s exciting to create a beautiful new product that combines design and manufacturing techniques perfectly.” He continues, “With the introduction of Woven Plank Tiles, we’re not just square anymore!” WHITE WITH GOLD This season Sandy Chilewich and her design team combined matte white yarn with varying shades of gold to create textiles that while metallic, somehow appear sundrenched and bleached. This collection represents Sandy Chilewich’s continuing exploration of metallics for walls and floors.

White/Gold Ikat, Cornsilk Bouclé and Harvest Basketweave are available in Floor Tiles, Wall-to-Wall Flooring and Wall Textiles. Chilewich textiles are made with TerraStrand® yarns, which are phthalate-free and made with renewable vegetable compounds. TerraStrand® contains 25% renewable vegetable content. Chilewich Flooring and Wall Textiles contain Microban® antimicrobial protection to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
