Perlastic SG is a two part, spray applied elastomeric membrane engineered to halt the corrosion/chemical attack of the substrate. The chemically resistant asphalt-based formula provides excellent barrier properties to withstand many of the aggressive chemistries found on industrial sites. Perlastic membrane thicknesses can be built from 40 to 120 dry mils in a single application of multiple passes. Thicknesses of 60 mils (1.5mm) are required for exposed corrosion protection applications and 80 mils (2mm) for immersion. Approximately six gallons will yield a 100 ft2 coated surface at a 60 dry mil (1.5mm) application. On-site inspection services can be acquired on a fee basis. Perlastic SG and accessory products can only be applied by CETCO Corrosion Protection Solutions (CPS) or supervised/ authorized contractors. EQUIPMENT: CETCO spray equipment has been specifically designed to maximize the applicators production and quality of work. The “A” component pump should be capable of an operating pressure >400 psi and support a tip size of 4015. The “B” component pump should be capable of >150 psi and tip size of 4001. UV weathering resistance LIMITATIONS: The Perlastic product requires eye shields, gloves and a dust mask as the coating is mildly alkaline. Keep a source of clean water nearby for eye washing. Check with Technical Services before coating for compatibility issues for surfaces like coal tar or other. Perlastic adhesion could be impaired with the presence of surface oils, standing water, slick surfaces, or very high humidity within enclosed areas such as tanks. .. Do not allow materials to freeze in containers. .. On-site storage of Perlastic must be within strict compliance of the manufacturer’s instructions. .. As factors which affect the result obtained from this product, including weather, equipment, construction, workmanship and other variables are all beyond CETCO’s control, we warrant only that the material herein conforms to our product specifications. Under this warranty we will replace at no charge any product proved to be defective within 12 months of manufacture, provided it has been applied in accordance with our written directions for uses we recommend as suitable for this product. This warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties expressed or implied (including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular use), and the Manufacturer shall have no further liability of any kind including liability for consequential or incidental damages resulting from any defects or any delays caused by replacement or otherwise.
