CETCO GEOTEXTILES CETCO nonwoven geotextiles are produced in state of the art production facilities - needlepunch manufactured with chemically resistant polypropylene staple fiber to produce premium grade products. FUNCTION Nonwoven needle-punched geotextiles provide a cushioning layer to protect adjacent geosynthetics. Additionally, their uniform consistancy provides excellent filtration and drainage properties. Their strength properties allow the geotextiles to function as reinforcement and separation layers to natural materials. CETCO nonwoven geotextiles are used in a wide variety of environmental applications to provide protection, separation, filtration, drainage and reinforcement. APPLICATIONS In waste containment cover and closure systems, nonwoven geotextiles can help protect the geomembrane component from puncture, separate dissimilar materials, minimize the accumulation of pore-water pressure above the barrier layer, as well as provide additional reinforcement to unstable soft soils. In select instances, nonwoven geotextiles may be used to prevent the accumulation of gas pressure when installed below the barrier layer - when used alone or as a component of a multilayer gas venting system. In multiple component waste containment liner systems, nonwoven geotextiles are utilized for puncture prevention of the geomembrane component, for separation of dissimilar soil, liner and aggregate materials, as a filter to minimize clogging of granular drainage materials, and as a component of a synthetic drainage system when replacing thick granular leachate collection systems.
