RESITRIX® FG40

RESITRIX® FG40

Product catalog summary
Overview: The FG 40 surface primer is designed for securely bonding self-adhesive EPDM waterproofing membranes, specifically RESITRIX® SK W Full Bond and RESITRIX® SR, onto unfaced EPS foam boards. This enhances the structure's resistance to wind suction forces compared to unprimed surfaces.
Applications: FG 40 is used for priming substrates for the direct laying of RESITRIX® SK W Full Bond on thermal insulation made from unfaced polystyrene foam boards. It is compatible with various substrates including metallic, bituminous, timber, solid materials, plastics (excluding soft PVC), and insulating materials. For applications not listed, contact the Technical Department.
Technical Data:
  • Base: Contains solvents
  • Colour: Blue
  • Consistency: Sprayable liquid
  • Density at 20 °C: 0.76 g/cm³
  • Viscosity (Brookfield): 300 CPS
  • Solid Particle Content: 67.2%
  • Consumption: Approx. 70 to 100 g/cm² depending on substrate
Work Preparation: Ensure the substrate is dry, clean, and free from dust and grease. Shake or roll the container for at least 30 seconds before use.
Processing: FG 40 should not be diluted and must be applied with a spray gun. Store containers tightly closed between +5 °C and +25 °C for up to 12 months. If solidified, warm the container before use. The evaporation time is approximately 40 minutes, after which membranes are applied and pressed firmly.
Cleaning Agents: Use G 500 cleaner for degreasing adhesive surfaces and cleaning equipment.
Storage: Store tightly closed at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C for no longer than 12 months. Warm solidified containers before use.
Disclaimer: Information is based on prior experiences and tests. No compensation claims can be derived. Product improvements may occur.

RESITRIX® FG40-1

Surface primerSECURE DIRECT BONDING WITH RESITRIX® SK W ONTO EPS The FG 40 surface primer allows full-surface, securely positioned direct bonding of the self-adhesive EPDM waterproofing membranes RESITRIX® SK W Full Bond and RESITRIX® SR onto unfaced EPS foam boards. This means that significantly higher wind suction forces can be tolerated by the bonded structure than one without a primer. APPLICATIONS For full-surface priming of substrate surfaces for direct self-adhesive laying of RESITRIX® SK W Full Bond on thermal insulation made from unfaced polystyrene foam boards without factory fitted bitumen lamination or bitumen deck. The connections and terminations associated with these roof surfaces can also be formed using RESITRIX® SK W Full Bond in conjunction with FG 40 on the following substrates as full-surface, self-adhesive solutions: • Metallic substrates • Bituminous materials • Timber/timber materials • Solid materials • Plastics (other than soft PVC) • Insulating materials If your application is not stated, please contact our Technical Department.
