Material Properties:
ALUTRIX® 600 and ALUTRIX® FR are self-adhesive vapour barriers with different specifications. ALUTRIX® 600 has a thickness of 0.6 mm and a weight of approximately 700 g/m², while ALUTRIX® FR is 0.4 mm thick and weighs approximately 300 g/m². Both products are available in rolls of 40 m length and 1.08 m width. They exhibit high tensile strength and resistance to tearing, with ALUTRIX® 600 achieving a Class 0 fire rating according to BS 476 Part 6.
Performance and Application:
These vapour barriers are designed for high-performance applications in environments with normal to high humidity. They are suitable for various internal conditions, including industrial processes and areas with high moisture like swimming pools and kitchens. The barriers are self-adhesive, cold-applied, and vapour-proof, offering very high tear resistance and the ability to withstand foot traffic on metal decking without puncturing.
Installation Requirements:
Substrates must be dry, sound, flat, and free from dust, grease, frost, and dew. The surface should be smooth and clean, without tension or blisters. For specific installation guidance, refer to the ALUTRIX® Installation Guide or consult the technical department.
Compliance and Standards:
ALUTRIX® FR complies with FM Approval Standard Class No. 4470 and has a reduced fire load with a calorific value of ≤10,500 kJ/m². Both products meet various international standards for durability, resistance to chemicals, and artificial aging.
