Product catalog summary
Overview
Vacuum tube collectors with flat reflectors are designed for higher efficiency in diffuse radiation conditions, such as cloudy weather and winter. The vacuum between the glass tubes acts as an excellent insulator, preventing freezing at temperatures as low as -18°C. The Calpak Vacuum VT models are available with 12 or 20 vacuum tubes, each 1.5 meters in length, and are designed to be space-efficient and easily replaceable. The flat corrugated reflector is made of granulated aluminum, which enhances performance by allowing dust and snow to slide off easily.
Construction Details
The construction includes an outer and inner glass, an aluminum fin, a copper tube in U-form, and a vacuum. The layout for the 20VT model is specifically highlighted.
Efficiency
The instantaneous efficiency curve for the Calpak 20VT collectors is provided, adhering to ISO 9806-1 and EN 12975-2 standards.

Calpak vacuum tube collector with flat reflector-1

Vacuum tube collector with flat reflector Vacuum tube collectors have higher efficiency in diffuse radiation (cloudy weather and winter), compared to flat plate collectors. The vacuum produced between the two glass tubes is a perfect insulating material which protects the collector from freezing when temperatures are even -18 °C. Our Calpak Vacuum VT are produced with 12 or 20 vacuum tubes of 1,5 m length. They are placed very close next to each other in order to minimize space. They can be exchanged separately. The flat corrugated reflector is made of granulated aluminium, which gives better results when dust or dirt are gathered on its surface, and snow can slip down easier.
