Product catalog summary
Overview
The MISTRAL street lighting system by BUCK GmbH is designed for high energy efficiency and adaptability. It features modularity, diverse optics, and serviceability, making it suitable for various urban lighting needs.

Specifications
The system offers a range of 28 different lenses and nominal powers, allowing power adjustments from 34W to 441W and luminous flux from 4910lm to 52400lm. It supports smart energy consumption through lighting management and communication.

Energy Efficiency
By selecting appropriate light distribution based on pole height and distance, significant reductions in installed power are achieved. The components have a longevity of over 100,000 hours, reducing maintenance needs and costs.

Design and Thermal Management
The open design concept maximizes LED potential, with modular heatsinks and protective glass. The cooling fins, inspired by sand dunes, enhance thermal management by promoting convective heat dissipation and preventing dirt accumulation.

Modularity and Optics
The MISTRAL system's modularity allows for uniform street lighting across various urban settings. It uses PMMA lenses with high light transmission and UV resistance, minimizing light pollution and offering numerous light distributions.

Performance and Case Studies
Case studies demonstrate the system's ability to meet various lighting class requirements, such as M4 and M3, with excellent uniformity and efficiency. The system supports different street types and pedestrian zones.

Efficiency and ROI
Compared to traditional HPS luminaires, MISTRAL offers significant energy savings and a quick return on investment, especially when optimized with features like AOC and CLO.

Technical Data
The luminaire is made of die-cast aluminum with a protective coating, offering high ingress protection (IP66) and impact resistance (IK08/IK09). It supports a wide range of power supplies and control options, including DALI communication.

Serviceability
The system allows tool-free access to electrical components, facilitating easy maintenance and upgrades without disrupting illumination.

Smart City Integration
MISTRAL street lighting is a key component of smart city infrastructure, offering features like smart traffic management, energy optimization, public safety enhancements, smart parking, and location analytics. These functions aim to improve urban efficiency and quality of life.

Conclusion
The MISTRAL street lighting system is a versatile and efficient solution for modern urban environments, integrating advanced technology to support smart city initiatives.

The shape of cooling fins was inspired by natural shape of sand dune slopes. OPEN DESIGN Open design concept enables the use of the LED’s to their full potential. The power of luminaire is determined by the number of installed LED modules. Each module consists of a heatsink with vertical ribs of tilted surfaces and sealed LED sources with protective glass. Experience in designing and producing open design luminaires confirmed reliability and durability of such luminaires in extreme outdoor conditions, such as high humidity, high temperatures and big temperature oscillations, as in desert conditions....

OPTICS PMMA lenses of high light transmission (95%) and a tempered, 4mm thick glass protector. Vast range of different powers and lenses cater for wide application in all types of outdoor illumination. The distribution of light is defined by lenses made of optical grade PMMA with high UV and temperature resistance, appropriate for high current and temperature conditions. These lenses allow better targeting of light rays so that the light scattering to adjacent buildings and light pollution is minimized. Numerous light distributions are available due to use of standardized lenses. The lighting...
