Customer Information Bruag AG Nr. 1/2015 Living and Business Buildings, Ermatingen Dull was Yesterday. Dear readers Two humans who like each other complement each other, inspire each other and make their lives rich. Shapes and colours can live on their own, Photo: Mario Gaccioli but have a lot more effect as a pair. Much closer tied are light and shadow. Without the one, the other cannot exist. Light makes the object visible, shadow gives it depth. Shapes, colours, light and shadow: we connect the solo artists and let them play together. The orchestra is complete. Nearly. Sound and acoustics are needed in order to perfect the symphony. We can be trusted in this area, too. Seeing what is audible; our solutions combine hearing pleasure and appearance. Buildings with Character in Ermatingen Building projects are oftentimes said to be dull and boring. The project «Uusfang« in the Swiss village of Ermatingen proofs that there are exceptions to this claim. With the creative use of colors and shapes, the architects have created a unique object. «Uusfang« consists of five separate buildings, which are used as living and working space alike. «CELLON convinced me primarily due to the freedom it offered me as an architect.» says Oliver Lussy, architect of the complex. Not only the perforated balcony claddings and stair railings of the living houses but also the whole facades of the business premises and even acoustics solutions for the dancing school «Impuls Tanz&Bewegung» were produced by BRUAG. The joy of the planner and his individual mark are obvious. BRUAG is looking forward to allow YOU to follow Mr Lussy and enjoy the flexibility of our products. Project Management: MLR Baumanagement, CH-Dettighofen; Architect: TEC, US-Los Angeles The objects described in the following pages show solo artists finding together to form an ensemble. How ideas that were spread and shared over continents connect to exceptional buildings. And how visions become visible and backlighted panels create a unique atmosphere. We are looking forward to a year full of creative ideas and to a good cooperation with architects, consultants, planners, building contractors and craftsmen.
