Product catalog summary
General Information
The document discusses the use of MDF and CELLON® panels for banisters and full-height stair protection. MDF panels are available in 19 and 30 mm thickness, while CELLON® panels are available in 8 and 10 mm thickness. CELLON® is a high-pressure laminate panel made of 70% cellulose and 30% phenolic resin, suitable for both internal and external use.

Advantages
- Precise laser cutting with over 100 perforation patterns available.
- Custom patterns can be created at no additional cost.
- Moisture-resistant, frost-proof, and termite-proof (CELLON® only).
- Ready-to-install with drill holes and cut-outs.
- FSC certified.

Material and Fire Behaviour
- MDF is normally flammable (D-s2-d0) but can be made fire retardant (B1) at an additional cost.
- CELLON® is fire retardant (B-s1-d0).

Storage and Sorting
MDF and CELLON® panels must be stored dry and protected from moisture. Use PU foam film between panels to prevent scratches.

Data Submission for Orders
Orders require CAD files (DWG/DXF) with specific drawing requirements, including scale and closed contours.

Full-Height Stair Protection
Perforated MDF and CELLON® boards are suitable for stair protection, allowing light while providing safety. MDF requires screw anchors and spacer sleeves, while CELLON® requires a metal frame construction.

Banisters
- 30 mm MDF banisters are self-supporting and should be fixed to walls for stability.
- 10 mm CELLON® banisters require a supporting structure and should not exceed 1000 mm between posts.

Panel Connections
- MDF panels use Lamello connectors, requiring a 12 mm milling depth.
- CELLON® panels use 12 mm steel bolts for joint connections.
- Laser cutting results in black edges, which may show through light colors.

Our CELLON®-panel is a Compact High-Pressure Laminate Panel (HPL) consisting of 70% cellulose sheets and 30% phenolic resin. The stable and weather-resistant material is excellently suited for perforated elements, both internally and externally. We use unprocessed HPL panels, which are cut to the exact size by laser. The coating is applied after cutting and is primarily a visual element. Depending on the perforation and the distance between the fixing points, 8 or 10 mm thick panels are used. Important Note on the Storage/Sorting of CELLON® CELLON® façade panels must never be stored outside in unprotected flat/horizontal position during sorting. Paint damage may occur, if water remains on the panels in a horizontal position*! Please store upright in a protected location and always place the supplied PU-foam foils between the individual plates. * Rainwater passes through the coating of the CELLON® panel and cannot penetrate the panel further. This may lead to softening of the coating. This is obviously not the case for vertically mounted panels (façades) since the water drains off....

Full-Height Stair Protection Perforated MDF and CELLON® boards are excellent for use as full-height stair protection. The perforated boards guarantee protection from falling and still allow plenty of light into the staircase. spacer sleeve MDF 30 mm e.g. screw anchor spacer sleeve Patterns can run across several panels. It is possible to manufacture suitable fixings for the panel joints. For MDF, Lamello 20 connectors, and for CELLON® boards, 12 mm stainless steel bolts can be set into the end faces. Full-height stair protection made from CELLON® requires a metal frame construction. This can...

30 mm MDF Banister Banisters made of 30 mm MDF are self-supporting and do not require any substructure. It is important that the banisters are fixed against the wall where possible, and that the individual banister flights are connected to each other. This significantly increases stability. 10 mm CELLON® Banister CELLON® banisters are suitable for delicate perforations. That way the patterns can be shown off to their best advantage. However, this makes an additional solid wood or metal structure necessary. It can be a frame in which the panels are used as infill or supporting posts and a handrail, as in the example below. The horizontal distance between the posts must not exceed 1000 mm. Fasteners as well as their number and spacing must be agreed with the manufacturer of the fasteners.

Details Panel Connections MDF Connections Lamello (dowel system) connectors can be integrated into panels at the joints for elements made from several parts of MDF. A milling depth of 12 mm is required either side for the milling operations. The pattern may need to be adjusted slightly at these points. CELLON® steel bolts CELLON® Connections 12 mm steel bolts can be integrated into the front of the panel at the joints for elements made from several parts of CELLON®. This ensures that the panels are level. Edge Properties The laser cut results in black edges. It is not possible to completely avoid...
