Semi-Transparent Balcony Claddings Filigree perforated balcony claddings fixed into a metal frame leave their mark on the multiple dwellings in Brig. The architecture of the project exudes a pleasant sense of calm, the perforated panels stimulate the building and make it unique. But the use of customized perforated panels does not only have the advantage of a well-designed solution. Cheerfully patterned in a warm red colour, the panels are not only a creative highlight but also a perfect protection for energetic kids. Tests of the German EPH Institute in Dresden confirmed: Bruag balcony claddings are crash-proof! We came across Bruag when we were looking for a weatherproof material which combines optical lightness and long-living robustness. The 10 millimetre thick CELLON panels have been proved on their fall protection and certified as safe. Combining stability and the individuality of laser technology, the balcony parapet system of us offers a simple, impressive design element whose transparency can be adapted to the wishes of the inhabitants. To reach this aim, the architects were looking for creative solutions to capture the qualities of the building that has been built between 1965 and 1990 and at the same time giving new dynamic. After completion of the extension the building is light-flooded and the materials and colours chosen create a harmony. Golden perforated panels in large formats create a special interior architecture. The material: CELLON panels, produced customized for this project by Bruag and also equipped with an adding value: sound absorption. The combination of the perforated panel with acoustics fleece fixed to the back and the absorber behind make the solution not only suitable as design element but also helps improving room acoustics.
