Elyplast Fiberglass laminates. .
Open the catalog to page 1Fiberglass laminates. Composition Elyplast sheets are continuous lamination products with stratification of polyester resin and fiberglass reinforcement (GFRP). The Elyplast standard version is ortophthalic resin based, carefully selected to have low levels of styrene, stabilised against UV rays and low shrinkage. Upon request the material can be produced with isophthalic Kristal and self-extinguishing resins. GFRP is a thermosetting product. Applications Elyplast is a versatile product which is suitable for various uses and extreme conditions, such as roofings and skylights for industrial...

Open the catalog to page 4Straight sheets. This product line contains a wide range of profiles which reflects the profiles of the sheets most frequently used for roofings, translucent walls and for continuous and discontinuous skylights on pitched roofings. Bending: Elyplast corrugated plates can be bent at the laying stage within certain limits, especially when roofings are not straight (circular, half round) as it is the case of green houses. Corrugated sheets Length any dimensions which are compatible with transportation Standard colours natural clear, other colours available on request Melinex 301 type (special...
Open the catalog to page 5Ribbed Sheets Thanks to the wide range of profiles available by Brianza Plastica, ribbed sheets can be coupled to metal sheets in order to realize skylights. In their opaque version, they can even represent an exelllent alternative to metal sheets as they do no rust and in general have a good corrosion resistance, beside the fact that are lighter than metal scheets and therefore easier to be mounted. any dimensions which are compatible with transportation Standard colours natural clear, other colours available on request * Surface protection Melinex 301 type (special film against weather...
Open the catalog to page 6Elyonda. Opaque corrugated/ribbed sheets Elyonda (R146; R153; R177) are corrugated or ribbed opaque sheets made of polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass and alumina. Elyonda is produced using an exclusive isophthalic anti-UV gel coat applied to the surface exposed to weather corrosion (resulting in a high degree of resistance to abrasion). Light, resistant and long-lasting, the Elyonda sheets are designed to satisfy all roofings and ceilings, allowing for greater design freedom whether you are working with new buildings or partial or total restructuring projects. Opacity Operating...
Open the catalog to page 7Curved sheets. Corrugated ELYPLAST curved corrugated sheets are produced in three different kind of sheets according to size, shape and radius. They are used in roofing for the construction of continuos and discontinuous skylights, coupled with curved fiber-cement plates (C177-C146) or for the finishing of industrial roofing combined with prestressed concrete structures (C497). C497 Profile type Useful width Abrasion resistant film outside and inside (301 type), upon request UV film protection (389 type) both sides, special resins Not protected, upon request UV film protection (389 type) on...

TOTAL LIGHT TRANSMISSION AFTER WEATHEROMETER TESTING YELLOW INDEX AFTER WEATHER TESTING YELLOWNESS INDEX LIGHT TRANSMISSION INDEX HOURS WEATHERED HOURS WEATHERED POLYESTER FILM ANTI-ABRASION (301 TYPE) Melinex 301 is a special polyester film, which acts as a surface armor for the fiberglass laminates, ensuring a high level of resistance to weather abrasion and limiting the separation of the glass fiber. Gelcoat is a selected resin applied on the outside surface during the lamination phase. This protection, particularly stable against atmospheric agents and shock...
Open the catalog to page 9Laying of straight sheets. • The laying of sheets is from the bottom towards the top and perpendicular to the gutter line. • Longitudinal laying direction: opposite to the direction of the main winds. • Head overlap: in the case of gradient lowerthan 7% it is preferable to use sheets equal in length to pitch width (up to 6m), so as to prevent water from flowing back inside in case of heavy rain, and of strong wind in the direction of the ridge line. When transversal or head overlaps are foreseen, their length must be that indicated in the table, appropriate to the width of the pitch up to...

Open the catalog to page 11Service information. Recommendations The empty spaces in the roofing to be covered with transparent or opaque materials must be permanently protected by using a metallic net in accordance with the test required by UNI 494. Do not lay the sheets in case of strong wind. Do not treat the surfaces with unsuitable products (e.g.: paint remover, acids, solvents, strong bases). Do not expose to flames. Do not walk on the sheets without a weight distribution board. Snow and wind loads: the design takes into account loads resulting from snow and wind depending on the area and altitude. The test...
