PIR Signal Processing
Utilizes Motion Analyzer II for analyzing signal timing, amplitude, duration, and polarity to make alarm decisions, avoiding false alarms from environmental disturbances.

Intelligent Camera Control
Form C contacts activate external devices like VCRs or lights. The timer, adjustable from 15 to 60 seconds, restarts with each motion detection. The camera can operate continuously or follow the timer.

Installation and Mounting
The detectors can be surface-mounted or mounted using the included B335-3 Low Profile Mount Bracket or optional B338 Universal Ceiling Bracket. The video output cable supports up to 152 m (500 ft) of RG59/U coaxial cable.

Certifications and Approvals
All models are certified under UL639 Intrusion Detection Units, with the CAM940C also complying with FCC Part 15.

Ordering Information
  • CAM940C: Includes NTSC video signals, video cable, and mounting bracket.
  • CAM940CE: Includes PAL video signals, video cable, and mounting bracket.
  • Accessories: B338 Universal Ceiling Bracket with adjustable pivot ranges.

Intrusion Systems CAM940C and CAM940CE PIR Motion Detectors with Covert Color Camera > Full function PIR Integrated pinhole CCD color camera with 3.4 lx light sensitivity 420 TV lines of horizontal resolution Motion Analyzer II processing Intelligent camera control (camera can be left on or controlled by the PIR) 12 m x 12 m (40 ft x 40 ft) PIR coverage Dual relay outputs for alarm and VCR control Includes video cable with BNC connector > Introduction The CAM940C and CAM940CE provide passive infrared (PIR) signals and standard composite video signals. Each detector completely conceals one integrated CCD color camera, providing discreet and covert video for coverage areas. The color camera in the CAM940C provides NTSC video, while the color camera in the CAM940CE provides PAL video. Both models include timers and relay outputs for alarm and VCR control. Selectable modes for either switcher or PIR control offer a lower current draw option. Parts Included > Quantity Component 1 Video cable with BNC connector 1 B335-3 Low Profile Mount Bracket Certifications and Approvals > All Models: and UL639 Intrusion Detection Units Functions > CAM940C Only: FCC Part 15 PIR Signal Processing > Motion Analyzer II uses multiple thresholds and timing windows to analyze timing, amplitude, duration and polarity of signals to make an alarm decision. Will not alarm on extreme levels of thermal and illumination disturbances caused by heaters and air conditioners, hot and cold drafts, sunlight, lightning, and moving headlights. Two sensitivity settings are provided. Intelligent Camera Control > Form C contacts activate external devices such as VCRs or lights. When the PIR detects motion, the contacts follow a field-selectable timer. The timer adjusts from 15 seconds to 60 seconds and restarts each time the PIR detects motion. Installers can program the camera to operate continuously or to follow the timer.
