Access Gates If an entry is a mobility hotspot that signies the gateway to the visitors destination, then one of the main characteristics of mobility hotspots is that they cater to a wide variety of visitors: regular visitors, one time visitors, visitors in wheelchairs, visitors with large baggage and many more. Most entry solutions that are aimed at managing the ow of people through a building allow only pedestrian access. Access gates can be used in conjunction with for example speed gates or tripod turnstiles to provide comfortable and secure access to wheelchairs, large luggage or trollies.

Security Access gates are activated by an authorisation signal from an access control system such as a card reader or biometrics device. This system can be integrated into the product or installed in a separate column near the gate. Upon authorisation the gate’s swinging door wing or door wings will open in the direction the user is travelling in.

Service Particularly as access gates are often the only means of entering an area for people in wheelchairs or pushing trollies, it is vital that they remain operational. Winglock 900 The Winglock 900 is a one wing access gate, of which the design perfectly matches any Boon Edam speed gate or tripod turnstile. It is constructed from a stainless steel column and glass door wing, offering a minimal footprint.

Twinglock 900 The Twinglock 900 consists of two stainless steel columns with two glass door wings attached. Operating simultaneously, the two door wings allow comfortable and quick access.
