Smart City Sustainability Our commitment to protect the planet isn’t just something we talk about, it’s been in our DNA for over 10 years. So, it was only natural that we take the same eco-friendly approach for our clients when creating new solutions for them. Having been the first to make LEDs the norm, we are now revolutionising our illuminations’ structural design thanks to our BIOPRINT invention. With BIOPRINT — a recyclable and biodegradable material that comes from sugar cane — we can remove over 80% of the aluminium from our 2D decorations. We also have our NORDIKA tree which looks just like a real Christmas tree but avoids deforestation and ORCHESTRA: the app that allows for smart, optimised illumination and electricity management. Common sense and compassion also underpin how we behave as a business as we aim to significantly and sustainably reduce our carbon footprint. We are taking action in this area including making our communication tools paperless wherever possible, recycling our waste, generating green energy at our wind farm, installing solar panels and replacing our fleet with hybrid vehicles. We are also involved in the process of obtaining ISO 14001 certification.
