LIXOR® Submerged Aeration System LIXOR® is a remarkably effective submerged aeration and mixing system. Dissolved oxygen enables aerobic bacteria and other microorganisms to quickly biodegrade and digest incoming organic matter, signifi cantly reducing the concentration of pollutants in the wastewater. How It Works 1 When used in pre-aeration or suspended growth systems, the above-ground, regenerative blower pumps large volumes of air down to the submerged LIXOR® aeration and mixing diffuser(s). 2 LIXOR’s cleverly designed Venturi chamber breaks the incoming air stream into smaller size bubbles. 3 The velocity of air and water increase substantially inside the LIXOR’s venturi chamber creating a vacuum that pulls in surrounding liquids. 4 The result is a turbulent plume of water and bubbles that travel up through the tank depth, transferring oxygen to the water for biological activity and...
