BioSTEP® screened pumping systems are designed for transferring screened liquids in small-diameter, decentralized wastewater collection applications. These systems combine low-maintenance components with unique features to address various design needs.

Small-diameter sewer systems offer a cost-effective alternative to conventional centralized wastewater systems, especially in areas with challenging geological conditions. They reduce excavation time, material requirements, and construction costs, making them suitable for new developments and areas with site-related limitations.

Design Features
BioSTEP systems feature the patented SaniTEE® screening technology, which deflects solids rather than collecting them. Maintenance is simplified with an external cleaning swab, allowing for clean-in-place maintenance without component removal. The ScumGuardTM protects against FOG-laden scum and offers flexible installation options.

Pump Flexibility
BioSTEP systems accommodate various submersible pumps, including high-head turbine and effluent pumps. The standard package includes a robust solids-handling effluent pump capable of passing 3/4” solids. Pumps feature cast iron impellers, silicon carbide seals, stainless steel shafts, and thermal overload protection.
