DUST CONCRETE HARDENER PRODUCT AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION EDILQUARZ is a ready-to-use dust concrete hardener based on high-hardness natural mineral aggregates, cement, additives and additions suitable to protect concrete floorings. Thanks to its high hardness, EDILQUARZ is particularly suitable in industrial production sites and in high traffic areas. EDILQUARZ can be used in: • New residential, industrial and commercial flooring • Logistics warehouses (Depots, Freight forwarders) • Intermodal logistic platforms, storage areas • Loading platforms • Airport hangars • Garages, parkings • Garage ramps PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE The concrete mix-design must be designed taking into account the technical and application requirements of the structure. The air contained into the concrete must be less than 3%. For large cast surfaces, we recommend the use of a laser screed, while for smaller surfaces a level surface can be arranged, followed by a regularisation, carried out with lines (screeds) of aluminium. PREPARATION OF THE PRODUCT EDILQUARZ is ready for use, it does not need any addition and it can be applied either mechanically (sieve) or by hand. In the first case only one coat with consumption up to 8-12 kg/m2 is sufficient, while in the second case at least two coats are needed: in the first coat the consumption must be between 2 and 3.5 kg/m2, in the second and final coat between 1.5 and 2 kg/m2. EDILQUARZ must be applied when the concrete can be walked on and supports the weight of a person (perform the imprint test). Normally, the application takes place between 4 and 12 hours depending on the environmental thermo hygrometric conditions. When EDILQUARZ has absorbed the whole concrete surface moisture, the central surface should be smoothed mechanically with paddle paver (helicopter), while the corners and the edges with steel spatula by hand.
