Bentley AutoPIPE Nozzle

Product catalog summary
Overview: Bentley AutoPIPE Nozzle is a standalone engineering application designed for accurate calculation of local stresses at junctions, attachments, and connection points in pressure vessels, exchangers, or tanks. It integrates with AutoPIPE for comprehensive stress analysis.
Efficient User Interface: The application features a streamlined Windows interface that allows all input data to be entered on a single screen, providing constant visual feedback with a graphical sketch of the nozzle/vessel configuration.
Advanced Modeling Capabilities: Users can select from various vessel/nozzle configurations, including cylinders, spheres, cones, semi-ellipses, and torispheres. The software supports oblique angle and hillside options, reinforcing pads, and includes extensive material libraries with code-dependent stress allowables.
Fast Analysis: The software performs stress analysis for multiple load combinations in seconds, displaying sorted summary stresses and ratio results for instant feedback on overstress conditions. It supports automatic and customized load combinations for each design code.
Post Processing Reporting: QA-style reports can be saved in RTF, HTML, and PDF formats, providing detailed stress analysis and input data.
Integration with Pipe Stress: AutoPIPE Nozzle imports piping forces and moments from Bentley AutoPIPE and computes stress intensification factors for use in pipe stress models.
Design Codes and Libraries: The application supports internationally recognized design codes, including ASME, WRC, British Standard PD5500, and API design codes, with extensive material libraries and standard unit files.
Stress Analysis Features: Options include pressure thrust in deadweight cases, automatic conversion of local loads, analysis of oblique nozzle configurations, and support for fatigue cyclic loads.
Customized Reporting: Users can define project details for QA reports, customize reports, and save them in various formats, including a one-page summary report.
Shell/Nozzle Types: The software supports various nozzle attachment types and shell types, calculating deflections, rotations, and stiffness values.
Load Calculations and Options: It calculates maximum allowable loads, supports up to 200 static and dynamic load cases, and offers load attenuation methods and options to include pressure thrust in gravity and hydrotest cases.
Recommended System Configuration: The software requires an Intel Pentium IV or higher processor, Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 or later, 256 MB RAM, and 36 MB of free hard disk space.

Bentley AutoPIPE Nozzle-1

Product Data Sheet Bentley AutoPipe Nozzle ® Accurate and streamlined calculation of local stresses at junctions, attachment, and connection points Bentley® AutoPIPE® Nozzle is a stand-alone engineering application that also fully integrates with AutoPIPE for calculating local stresses at nozzle/vessel junctions, trunnion attachment points, clip connections, and lug attachments on the vessel shell. Based on well-known engineering design standards, AutoPIPE Nozzle helps engineers and designers quickly determine whether or not the wall of a pressure vessel, exchanger or tank can withstand piping loads on the nozzle or at clip and lug connections. Efficient User Interface The Bentley AutoPIPE Nozzle interface allows data to be added on one screen. Users can easily sort summary stresses. Post Processing Reporting The efficient Windows interface allows all the input data to be entered on one screen to create the model. The input data and a graphical sketch of the nozzle/vessel configuration are always shown, which provides constant visual feedback. Project and user information can be entered for streamlining file management. QA-style reports with input data, summary and detailed stresses can be saved in multiple convenient formats, including RTF (compatible Word format), HTML, and Adobe Acrobat PDF. Advanced Modeling Capabilities You can choose many different vessel/nozzle configurations, including cylinders, spheres, cones, semi-ellipses, and torispheres with hollow nozzles or support lug attachments, including oblique angle and hillside options. Reinforcing pads can easily be added, including automatic pad design and load attenuation options. Extensive, built-in material libraries contain code-dependent stress allowables, including the latest ASME Section VIII Division 1 and 2, Section I and Section III codes. The analysis engine to compute all the stresses for many different load combinations takes only seconds. Fast Analysis QA-style reports can be saved in multiple formats. The analysis to compute all the stresses for many different load combinations takes only seconds. Sorted summary stresses and ratio results are displayed on the same screen to provide instant visual feedback for any overstress condition. Automatic and customized load combinations are analyzed for each design code and the maximum allowable loads are calculated. Interface With Pipe Stress AutoPIPE Nozzle automatically imports piping forces and moments from the Bentley AutoPIPE application and can compute piping stress intensification factors (SIF) for use in an AutoPIPE pipe stress model.
