These impacts create vibrations that travel through the floor structure and radiate as sound in the room below. BEKA SOUNDMAT rolls work by introducing a resilient acoustic layer between the structural floor and the finished flooring. The rubber layer absorbs part of the impact energy reduces vibration transmission, limits sound propagation through the floor structure.
