Steel melts, bangs roaringly, joins violently piece on piece, sphere on sphere; unformed aggregate of cold steel, disquieting monster. Imperfection leads to transformation, slowly forms, shines and silently begins to live. This sculpture takes shape from the ancient legend of Golem. The Salon Art + Design, New York, 2019 Art Miami, Miami, 2019 a l p e m a r e The chair Alpemare took its start from the casting of bronze, one of the oldest alloys used by man. Its soft lines develop in a multiplication of elegant arches, reminiscent of the branched and luminescent paths created by magma. The inspiration for this table came from observing the gigantic iron chains which are used for tying up the enormous transatlantic cruisers. We were intrigued to find a way to build a table structure in the shape of a chain, every bangle connected one with another. Chained up seems to revolt against the immobility of the four legs, freeing itself in a movement of rings, closing the chain. The sculptural table Bangles ‘House of Gucci’ was chosen by Ridley Scott for his film ‘HOUSE OF GUCCI’ starring Lady Gaga, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Adam Driver, Salma Hayek, Jared Leto... Ridley Scott personally expressed the desire to lacquer the table top in glossy Gucci orange. c l o u d We kidnapped a cloud. To keep the cloud from escaping, we fastened it to heavy golden legs. Now, that the cloud is tied to the ground, we dressed it up in the color of orange onyx.
