Baumit Expansion Joint E-Profile Expansion joint profile with alkali-resistant fibreglass reinforcement and render stop beads. For sealing and incorporating existing structural movement joints into an external wall insulation system. The E-Form profile is for joints which are in the plane of a wall. Provides vertical weather-resistant, permanent and horizontal building expansion joints (10-30 mm joint width) in Baumit external wall insulation systems. Permanent and weather-resistant seals. Connected with a flexible, UV- and ozone-resistant loop strip. Double-acting welded fabric banner. The expansion joints should be carefully planned and executed. Embed the fabric tabs of the joint frame before starting area reinforcement with an adhesive putty in the system across the entire surface of the EWI insulating boards. Apply the adhesive putty at the required layer thickness, then completely press in the tissue tabs and smooth it out. Ideal width of the expansion joint after applying the insulation: about 10 mm. The loop strap is overlapped in the joint areas and glued to the frame with the remaining tab overlapped and glued. The overlap must be on the outside. Frames are to be horizontally bound to the plug connector. The disengagement edge (about 6 mm) on the expansion joint profile forms a secure render connection for further rendering. After completing the covering render, immediately clean the visible loop tape with a moist sponge. You cannot paint over the profile.
