Home is where the dynamic is For the AW14 collection we have created a complete universe. We’ve reached out to all aspects and rooms of a warm and homey household and embraced all categories—from sweeping trays to poster frames, porcelain objects, candle holders, lamps, fabrics and furniture. We took a daydream-tour through some of our own favourite homes and curated a collection of designs from very different designers, but who all complement each other and match our ‘soft minimalism’ design philosophy. A common denominator for all the designs is their dynamic nature. Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen...

Open the catalog to page 4Knot Trestle Knot Trestle Design by Cecilie Manz The Knot Trestle is a new version of the archetypical trestle. The functionality is honest and simple as we know it: 2 trestles + 1 table top = table, but the construction vary from many classic trestles. The two wood frames are held together by full-grain leather and nothing else; The straps are simply tied together in lovely big knots. The use of full-grain leather and the grained ash wood gives the design a playful, innovative and strong look.

Open the catalog to page 8Anita Johansen graduated from the Danish Design School in 2012, specializing in furniture design and production. Her ‘Daybed’ is made from classic Nordic materials and consists of 2 parts: a simple Ash frame and a thin, soft, upholstered part. So, if it’s true that ‘you make the bed you lie in’ … then why not make it a pretty one.

Open the catalog to page 14“Afteroom Chair is based on the concept of reducing the amount of materials to the minimum and by doing so pushing the aesthetic appearance to the maximum. It’s a designer’s job to develop functional objects without compromising the aesthetics and it’s important never to look back, unless it’s for the purpose of finding very good references, of course. Afteroom Chair
Open the catalog to page 15Afteroom Chair Design by Afteroom Afteroom Chair was the result of deconstructing an item, piece by piece, with the purpose of obtaining an original design. The rounded details such as the seat and flexible back support, both in wood, contrast the solid steel frame. And when looking at the chair, it’s difficult to differentiate what is what, due to the designers’ attention to detail. We sure could grow old with the Afteroom Chair. Afteroom Chair

Operating from their Stockholm-based design studio their inspiration derives from an intriguing interest of forms, senses, proportions, materials and cultures.
