“We first started sketching this light in a hotel lobby quite a few years ago,” says Eva Bratell of the Stockholm-based firm Ljusrum, about the new LED luminaire, Mychoice. The lightness of the construction is one of the feats of Mychoice. The shade is made up of three separate parts that overlap without actually touching. “We wanted to make the different parts look like they are suspended in the air,” says the designteam at Ljusrum. And indeed it does. Mychoice is all white, including the stand and rectangular base in white lacquered steel. On request, the inside of the aluminium shade can be executed in a different colour, adding a different accent to the light. It is a discreet luminaire with a strong and confident shape.
