Production Facility Striking, Affordable Production Building The rapid growth and development of the Polish company MIKA Sp. z o.o. created the need for new premises in order to increase their capacity. The company designs and produces a wide range of plastic caps for carbonated and non-carbonated waters and beverages, so as business boomed, MIKA Sp. z o.o. decided to build a new facility for manufacturing caps for PET bottle. MIKA Sp. z o.o. determined that the most cost-effective solution would be an Astron steel building. It enlisted another Bielsko-Biała-based construction company, INBUD Bielsko sp.z.o.o., an Astron Builder. The company’s wish list included production, warehouse and offi ce spaces. Bielsko sp. z o.o. proposed a complex of 90 m long building separated by 2 firewalls with additional wing units all along the sidewalls for the offi ce part. To provide natural light within the building and to comply with the required security aspects, numerous smoke vents and skydomes were installed. The production space has been optimally designed to suit Mika’s needs to accommodate its advanced production technology.
