Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides comprehensive specifications and guidelines for Rob®'s straight-sliding shutter hardware, designed to improve shutter movement. It includes details on straight-sliding, folding, and hinged shutters, along with components and installation procedures.
Specifications: The hardware supports shutters weighing 40 kg, 80 kg, 120 kg, and up to 180 kg. It features aluminium tracks with UPVC wheels on ball bearings for quiet operation, and a stainless steel option for heavier shutters. The A-slide automation feature simplifies installation and use.
Components and Installation: Detailed information is provided on necessary components like running tracks, cover profiles, and guiding systems. Anodised aluminium tracks are recommended to prevent corrosion and ensure smooth operation. The hardware is designed to be discreet, enhancing aesthetics and user comfort.
Standards and Compliance: The hardware meets the NBN B 03-002-1 standard for wind load on buildings, contingent on conditions like wind permeability and maximum surface area. It is quality assured for at least 100,000 operation cycles.
Guiding Systems: Options include floor-mounted and wall-mounted systems to suit various shutter sizes and installation preferences. Technical drawings and product codes for each component are provided.
Automation and Accessories: A-slide gear and remote control options are available for automated operation, enhancing ease of use. Product codes and specifications for these accessories are included.
Installation Guidelines: Following the proposed setup is crucial to maintain warranty and ensure optimal performance. Detailed instructions for mounting and adjusting shutters, including height adjustments and locking mechanisms, are provided to prevent wind damage.
Product Specifications: Configurations for folding shutters are outlined, with article numbers for setups like 2 shutters left, 2 shutters right, and combinations thereof. Coastal versions are available for installations near coastlines or in high pollution areas, with custom RAL colors on demand.
Technical Details: Folding shutters are compact, handling up to 40 kg per panel, and certified to withstand wind forces up to 12 Beaufort. Maximum surface area per shutter is 2.4 m², with a height of 3 m and width of 0.8 m. Shutter thickness ranges from 30 to 34 mm or 40 mm.
Installation and Hardware: Specifications for top and bottom tracks, hinge requirements based on shutter height, and necessary locking systems for wind loads are detailed. A locking mechanism is required if the shutter area exceeds 1.1 m².
Performance and Testing: Shutters were tested with a setup of 4 shutters on one side, each weighing 40 kg, to ensure resistance to significant wind loads.
Recommendations: For shutters taller than 3 m or wider than specified, additional middle hinges or weight adjustments are necessary. Customers should contact the sales team for specific requirements beyond standard configurations.
Specifications and Testing: Folding shutters are designed to withstand wind pressures up to 12 Beaufort, undergoing static and dynamic tests. A locking system is essential for hurricane conditions, with test reports available upon request.
Materials and Dimensions: Shutters are available in anodised aluminium, resistant to high salinity and pollution. Technical drawings and assembly instructions focus on robustness and durability.
Accessories and Customization: Various configurations and RAL color customization options are available, with specific part numbers for different setups.
Locking Systems and Hinges: Locking systems are crucial for structural integrity under wind load. The document specifies the number of locking systems required and provides part numbers for hinges and tracks.
General Information: Hinged shutter fittings emphasize materials and finishing options like stainless steel and bichromated treatments to prevent oxidation.
Product Specifications: Products are made of iron, zinc-plated, and powder-coated for durability. Standard thickness is 5 mm unless specified otherwise.
Hinges: Various hinge types are available with different lengths and finishing options.
Pintels: Available in different finishes for concrete, screw form, and stone walls.
Shutter Dogs: Available in different lengths and finishes.
Stable Rings and Bolts: Made of iron with various finishes, available with different screw thread specifications.
General Notes: The brochure is updated regularly; check the website for the latest version. Contact information is provided for further inquiries.
