It features a single 15" neodymium cone driver. This exclusive design significantly reduces the volume of the acoustic load in order to obtain the best size / low cutoff frequency ratio as well as a significant efficiency gain in terms of useable bandwidth and perfect membrane movement control. This driver takes advantage of a forced thermal cooling, which drastically reduces thermal compression, resulting in high sound pressure capacity. In terms of ergonomics, the iS115 features two integrated handles, recessed input connectors, a pole-mount point and protective skids. The iS115 should be exclusively used with APG processors and amplifiers for which they are recommended. The iS115 is designed for low frequency reinforcement of small to medium power sound systems where space is at a premium. The total efficiency gain resulting from both the acoustic load and the forced venting technology is about 3dB of sound pressure. The iS115 is therefore an ideal choice for applications where maximum power in the low frequencies is required from a minimum amount of space. In fixed installations, iS115’s reduced dimensions enable unobtrusive installation in restricted environments, such as under seats or on a small stage, or flown from the ceiling. They are ideal for theatres, conference room or multi-media applications or indeed as part of a compact, efficient FOH system in bars, small clubs or mobile sound systems. These subwoofers are also perfect for distributed sound in large scale installations. The slots in the top of the enclosure allow the physical coupling with DX12 and DX15 speakers to form compact and discreet drum fill systems on stage.
