TECHNICAL DATASHEET No. 129M Edition 01 www.anticasignoria.it A DECORATIVE MINERAL BINDER BASED FOR INTERIORS PRODUCT PROPERTIES MOMÀ is a paste formulation based on mineral binders and resins in an aqueous emulsion with fine pigments and a variety of quality additives which give it the following characteristics: EXCELLENT BREATHABILITY - EXCELLENT RESISTANCE TO MOULD AND BACTERIA - GOOD SURFACE ADHESION. Its special formulation gives a decorative finish comparable to the classic cement effect. USES MOMÀ is particularly suitable for decorating spaces where retention of the masonry's natural breathability is desirable and where particular non-uniform chromatic effects are wanted. MOMÀ can be applied to plaster, old mineral-based paint, to reinforced concrete backgrounds, fibre cement and precast concrete structures. It is not recommended for use on surfaces which are very damp or in the presence of salt efflorescence. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS SPECIFIC WEIGHT: 1.4 - 1.5 kg/l. VISCOSITY OF SUPPLY: product in paste form. THEORETICAL COVERAGE: 1.5 - 2.5 m2/l. This varies depending on the condition of the surface and the thickness applied. It is best to determine the effective coverage by carrying out a preliminary test on the particular surface. DRY RESIDUE: 62% ± 1%. GRANULOMETRY: <300 microns. WATER VAPOUR PERMEABILITY (SD): about 0.1 m (max allowed limit 2 m, DIN 52617) VOC EMISSION LIMIT (VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS): EU VOC limit value (Directive 2004/42/EU) for this product (Cat. A/a; BA): 75 g/l (2007); 30 g/l (2010). MOMÀ contains less than 30 g/l of VOC. In all cases, before applying MOMÀ, an properly diluted coat of FONDO AS should be applied. APPLICATION: MOMÀ can be applied and styled with a metal float, a plastic float, a brush or stippling pads. • LIMEWASH STYLE: dilute the first coat of MOMÀ by 5-10% and apply with a pure bristle brush, crossing the brush strokes in an irregular fashion. When completely dry, apply a second coat using the same application method as the first. • MOMÀ STYLE: apply a first coat of MOMÀ with a float in the usual way when skimming a surface. When completely dry, apply a second coat. Whilst still moist, put a small amount of MOMÀ on the float and apply the strokes in an irregular manner in order to obtain the classic cement effect. • URBAN STYLE: apply one coat of MOMÀ with a float in the usual way when skimming a surface. When completely dry, apply a second coat. Whilst still moist, smooth the surface with the float (with a small amount of MOMÀ) in a vertical direction, in order to obtain the classic streaks of washed cement. • STONEWASH STYLE: apply one coat of MOMÀ with the usual skimming method. When completely dry, apply a second coat and whilst the product is still wet create the "design" using the stippling pad using horizontal or vertical movements. The user can customize the final aesthetic appearance by varying the way in which the product is applied. To further protect the coating without altering its aesthetic appearance, we recommend the application of a coat of CERA PROTETTIVA (protective wax). DRYING TIME at 20°C and 65% RH: dust-dry after about 5 - 6 hours, fully dry after about 24 hours. TIME BETWEEN COATS: 8 - 10 hours at 20°C. DILUTION: Application with a float -> the product is ready for use. Application with a brush -> dilute with 5 - 10% water. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The product should be applied at environmental and/or surface temperatures of between 8°C and 30°C. CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT: Clean with water immediately after use. METHOD OF USE SURFACE PREPARATION: On new walls: Make sure the surface is thoroughly dried and cured (at least 28 days) and apply a coat of appropriately diluted PRIMER UNIFORMANTE A.S. (masking primer). On crumbling and/or damaged surfaces: remove the loose or peeling material, restore with suitable mortar and then proceed as for new walls. On previously painted walls: remove old, damaged paint, carry out any necessary plastering or patching and then proceed as for new walls. PACK SIZES: 2.5L - 5L - 14L. COLOURS AVAILABLE: White. The colours of the MOMÀ chart can be obtained by using the Speedy ColorManager S2K Tinting System. CONSERVATION AND STORAGE: The product can be stored for at least 18 months from the date of purchase if it is stored in a cool, dry place and protected from frost.
