TECHNICAL DATA SHEET N. 13K Edition 01 www.anticasignoria.it 2\nfica Signoria-CHIFFON DECORATIVE FINISHING FOR INTERIORSPRODUCT PROPERTIES CHIFFON is a decorative finishing for interior use made of resins in watery emulsion, particular pearlescent and special additives that grant to the product the following characteristics: GOOD TRANSPIRABILITY - GOOD ADHESION - EASY TO APPLY. Its particular formula gives delicate light and shade effects under reflected light, creating an eye-catching mixture of nuances. IDEAL USES CHIFFON is ideal to decorate internal masonry walls, plasterboards, concrete surfaces, masonite and any other mural surface. CHIFFON is an elegant and versatile product giving beauty and neatness to any environment, from the historic building to the minimalist apartment. The slightly pearlescent effect perfectly matches every kind of furniture and the wide chromatic range allows to customize the environments following any personal tastes. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS SPECIFIC WEIGHT: 1,04 -1,14 kg/I. VISCOSITY: 37000 - 42000 Cps (brookfield, spindle 5, velocita 10 rpm). SPREAD RATE PER COAT: 8-10 mVI depending on the desired finish. APPEARANCE AND FINISH: Satin appearance, smooth finish. VOC EMISSIONS LIMITS (VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS): EU limit value of VOC (Directive 2004/42/EC) for these products (Cat. A/I; WB): 300 g/l (2007); 200 g/l (2010). CHIFFON contains less than 200 g/l di COV. WAY OF USE PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE: ON NEW SURFACES: apply one coat of PRIMER UNIFORMANTE A.S. properly diluted. ON ALREADY PAINTED SURFACES: remove all eventual detaching elements such as dust, oils a/o grease or crumbling parts and proceed as on new surfaces. Then apply 1-2 coats - depending on the status of the support - of L'ACRILICO in the same colour of the finishing. APPLICAZIONE: CHIFFON can be applied by pure bristle brush (spalter type) or stainless steel trowel. • Minimalist style: Apply in an irregular way one coat of Chiffon by a stainless steel trowel. Before complete drying, finish by trowel, in order to have the desired aesthetic finish. • Baroque style: Apply one coat of CHIFFON by pure bristle brush (spalter type) and without dilution. Before complete drying, finish by trowel appling a slight pressure in a circular way. • Liberty style: Apply one coat of CHIFFON diluted with 50% of water by pure bristle brush (spalter type) crisscrossing the brushstrokes in an irregular way. If a country-style effect is required, it is necessary to apply, as a base, one coat of DECORGRIP - white colour in an irregular way and then proceed with CHIFFON application by brush. CHIFFON can be also applied in two following coats as well, depending on the surface status and the desired aesthetic finish.The final effect can be customized by the applicator depending on his workmanship. If L'ACRILICO- white colours is used as a base, it is necessary to apply 2 coats of CHIFFON as a finishing. DILUTION: Ready to use product. When appling by brush, it is necessary to dilute with 50% in volume of water and depending on the environmental conditions. DRYING AT 20°C AND 65% R.H. : Dust free after about 1 hour, in depth after about 24 hours. TIME BETWEEN COATS: Approximately 6-8 hours at 20° C. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The product must be applied with temperature (of both the environment and/or the surface) between +5°C and +30°C. TOOLS CLEANING: With water immediately after use. SALES PACKAGINGS: 2 x 2,5 I - 6 x 1,25 I. AVAILABLE COLOURS: Silver base, Gold base and colours chart. The bases can be coloured with Toners or with the Tintometric System Speedy2.
