LUMEN CLASSES LEVELS OF PERFORMANCE / LUMEN CLASSES Due to t he high light yield of t he LEDs t hat is st ill improving furt her, t hinking in lumen classes is part icularly relevant to t he planning of shop light ing. It is important t hat t he lumen values leading to allocat ion to a lumen class refer to t he system luminous flux of t he luminaire, and not to t he luminous flux of t he LED module. REFLECTOR TECHNOLOGY Convent ional light sources radiate t heir light in a solid angle of almost 360°, LEDs on t he ot her hand, oriented from t he outset, in a solid angle of <180°. The radiat ion pattern of t he LED unit t herefore necessitates an adjusted design of t he reflector equipment. For t his reason we develop our own 3D facetted reflectors, finely tuned to our luminaires. LIGHT DISTRIBUTION IN THE REFLECTOR By means of t he development of a specific reflectordesign, marked quality enhancements have been achieved.
