Its armrests extend from the shell like literal limbs, ready to embrace you as you sit down. The Chair has already proven to be a great success. It won the prestigious Best of the Year Award 2013 in the category of Seating: Contract/Conference from the American magazine Interior Design and it starred in exhibitions such as the Jaime Hayon retrospective Funtastico at the Groninger Museum, showcasing some of the celebrated designer’s finest pieces. Now &tradition is introducing CATCH CHAIR in a new swivel base edition, making the comfortable chair even more flexible and suited for the contract and conference market. The new swivel base enhances the chair’s light and playful expression and serpentine lines and acts as the perfect base for the high quality shell. The swivel base is in cast aluminium and the shell is made from molded polyurethane foam with a metal frame and glass fiber reinforcements. Covered in cold cured foam, and finally, leather or textile upholstery, the shell offers comfort and great variability.
