Product catalog summary
Product Specification
The document details the specifications of a resilient acoustic underlayment made from agglomerated cork with a polyurethane elastomer bonding agent. It is designed for impact noise insulation for LVT, SPC, and WPC floors, with a density of up to 350kg/m³.
Key Features
  • Natural material
  • High durability and long-term resilience
  • High performance with reduced thickness
  • Low residual indentation and free of migration of plasticizers
  • Homogeneous material produced from cork granules (0.5–1mm)
Technical Properties
Physical and Mechanical Properties
  • Specific Weight: 250–350 kg/m³
  • Tensile Strength: > 500 kPa
  • Compression at 0.7MPa: 10–20%
  • Recovery after 0.7MPa: > 70%
Technical Data Sheet
  • Flooring LVT Thickness: 1.6 mm
  • Thermal Resistance: Not applicable
  • Punctual Conformability: < 0.5 mm
  • Compressive Strength: > 400 kPa
  • Water Vapor Resistance: > 75 m
Acoustic Results
The underlayment provides an impact insulation of 17 dB for LVT flooring with a thickness of 6 mm and underlayment thickness of 1.6 mm.
Installation Instructions
General installation instructions emphasize the importance of following the manufacturer's guidelines, particularly regarding adhesives. It is crucial not to mechanically fasten the underlayment as it diminishes its acoustic value. A vapor barrier is necessary for wood or laminate floors.
Application Process
For floating floors without a vapor barrier underlayment, the installation should be perpendicular to the underlayment. The subfloor must be leveled, dry, and clean. New concrete slabs require a curing period of 120 days, and the substrate's humidity must not exceed 2.5%. A moisture barrier should be installed with a minimum overlap of 100mm using sealing tape.
