WIND PRODUCT SOLUTIONS Alstom’s SCADA - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system for onshore and offshore applications Building on 30 years of wind turbine experience, WindAccess™ is an open, modular and comprehensive tool for monitoring and controlling onshore and offshore wind farms. Open. Optimise. Open: WindAccess™ has been designed for greater connectivity and efficiency. Thanks to the system’s web-based interface, operators can access their wind farms from any location at any time, while the system’s open communication protocols enable the wind farm’s easy integration with all other renewable assets in the operator’s portfolio. Optimise: WindAccess™ monitors and collects data from the wind turbines, meteorological mast and substation so that the wind farm can be operated like a conventional power plant. WindAccess™ data is stored in an SQL database providing an unparalleled level of flexibility and data transparency. Its historical report modules give the operator a powerful tool to analyse operative data and transform it into added value. Wind farm management made easy Modular, flexible and comprehensive: WindAccess™ modular design grants maximum flexibility, allowing wind farm operators to tailor the system according to their specific needs. For onshore and offshore applications: WindAccess™ has been specifically developed to address both onshore and offshore requirements (i.e. network monitoring, real-time data register, video surveillance, integration of Condition Monitoring System). These features come in separate modules than can be easily integrated into WindAccess™. Web-based tool: Wind farm operators can access their wind farms through a VPN secure connection anywhere, anytime. The advanced user interface presents operational, meteorological and performance data to the operator in real time, on user-oriented screens, allowing key data to be assimilated at a glance. Open communication protocols: Thanks to its design based on open communication protocols, WindAccess™ can integrate information from external elements including meteorological masts and substations. Open communication protocols have the added advantage of facilitating the integration of the wind farm into a renewable asset portfolio. Easy access to wind farm information: WindAccess™ stores the information in an SQL database, designed to grant the operator an unparalleled level of flexibility and data transparency. Wind farm controller: WindAccess™ provides the option of incorporating a wind farm controller which consolidates the whole wind farm including substation equipment, so that the wind farm can be operated like a conventional power plant at the grid connection point.
