booming Turkish market 9 ECO 100 wind turbines. Operation and maintenance services for the first five years. The Senkoy project marks Alstom's first wind farm contract in Turkey and includes Alstom installed 9 ECO 100 wind turbines units, with 90 m towers and total capacity of 27 MW. The annual power output of Senkoy plant will be 10% higher than the originally designed values. Approximately 40,000 households will benefit from the power generated by the Senkoy wind farm which will have an estimated annual production of 86,548,000 kWh. The project will prevent 41,000 tonnes of C02 emissions on average each year. Having completed the installation and commissioning of the wind farm, Alstom will also provide operation and maintenance service for the first five years. Alstom will also install three additional 3 MW ECO 100 wind turbines with 75 m towers in 2013, which will take the total capacity of the plant to 36 MW. It shows the success for Alstom's 3 MW ECO 100 platform, which represents a major advance in turbine power capacity and a higher energy yield. CUSTOMER PROFILE Guri§ is one of the largest construction companies in Turkey, with more than 50 years experience and approximately 6,000 employees. The company is active within the fields of water resources, energy production, industrial production, transportation, buildings and pipelines in various regions such as the Gulf, Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey. HARNESSING TURKEY S POWER POTENTIAL Turkey's electricity consumption is increasing by an average of 8-9% per year. To help meet this demand, the country is increasingly turning to renewable energy sources as a way of improving energy security and curbing its dependence on imported gas. Turkey has an installed generation capacity of approximately 57 GW, of which over 2.3 GW is wind power according to EWEA statistics. The start of the wind energy boom in the country occurred recently. In 2009, 343 MW of new capacity was added, representing a year-on-year growth rate of 75%. Installed capacity is expected to grow at between 500-1,000 MW per year, reaching more than 5,000 MW before 2015. Turkey targets 20,000 MW of wind power capacity by 2023. PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS clean energy • Power output 10% higher than estimated values
