Mario Botta Born in Mendrisio in 1943, he graduated from the University of Venice, where he worked with Le Corbusier and Luis Kahn. He taught and carried out research in Europe, Asia and the US. He has been working with Alias since 1982. For them he designed two of his most famous chairs seconda and quinta – now on show at the MoMA.
