METAL STORY Alexander Rose announced itself to the metal furniture market with the outstanding Portofino collection in 2012, made of wire mesh combined with tubular steel. Our objective was to design eye-catching pieces of furniture that would bring a refreshing look to a new market for Alexander Rose. We found our inspiration in the curvaceous lines and ergonomic comfort of our woven Ocean Range and the Portofino range was born. OLEFIN CUSHION FABRIC The high specification Beach Lounge cushions are made using a tough 405gsm/m2 solution dyed olefin, with a colour fastness to light 8. The outside of the fabric has the pre-treated water proof finish applied, and on the rear side is the polyethylene (PE) layer that makes the fabric water resistant.
