Airflex can be grooved for runway applications to provide a more economical alternative to traditional grooved Marshall Asphalt. Applicable for heavy duty airfield use; both taxiways and runways. High level of rut and scuffing resistance. Available as a standard penetration grade binder or polymer modified for more heavy duty use. Widely available.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION ASPHALT PRODUCT RANGE Airmat™ A stone mastic asphalt (SMA) derivative designed to meet both Defence Estates and BAA specifications. The product is suitable for use in airfield taxiways, aprons and runways where its tough and durable properties provide an economic alternative to traditionally specified Marshall Asphalt.
