AF GRAPHIT FOAM

Product catalog summary
Description: AF GRAPHIT FOAM is a two-component polyurethane foam enhanced with graphite, certified under EN 1366-3 for EI 180 fire protection of mechanical and electrical system penetrations in walls and floors. The foam expands when exposed to heat, making it suitable for combustible material penetrations.
Direct Application: The foam is applicable to electrical cables, corrugated pipes, insulated and uninsulated metal pipes, combustible pipes, mixed penetrations, and multilayer pipes.
Features: The foam comes in a 330ml cartridge, is dark brown, reacts in about 10 seconds, dries in 30 seconds, and is ready to cut in approximately 1 minute. It expands 3-5 times its original volume at 20°C, with a yield of 1000-1700ml. Storage temperature is 5-35°C, and application temperature is 10-35°C.
Packaging and Storage: The product is packaged in a 330ml cartridge with a dispenser/mixer and remains intact for 12 months under normal conditions (5-35°C).
Application Method: Attach the mixer to the cartridge, insert it into the spray gun, and apply starting from the furthest point. Fill the opening to a minimum depth of 120 mm, avoiding interruptions longer than five seconds. Once hardened, trim excess with a cutter.
Specification: The foam is a two-component intumescent polyurethane polymer with a free expansion of 3-5 times, certified for EI 120/180 protection of wall and floor penetrations.
Certifications: The foam is certified as Class EI 180 for rigid floors, and Class EI 120 for Xlam and plasterboard walls according to UNI EN 1366-3 standards.

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET AF GRAPHIT FOAM Two-component fire-resistant polyurethane foam DESCRIPTION AF GRAPHIT FOAM is a two-component polyurethane foam with graphite added and certified under EN 1366-3 for EI 180 protection of mechanical and electrical system penetrations in walls and floors. Using graphite, the foam expands during application and heat during a fire. This property makes the product versatile and suitable for combustible material penetrations, which would be destroyed during a fire. The special cartridge, with the help of a spray gun, allows the simultaneous extrusion of the two components and their mixing inside the application nozzle. AF GRAPHIT FOAM is a simple and flexible solution, ideal for openings with several pass-through close elements. DIRECT APPLICATION Electrical cables and corrugated pipes in a cable tray Combustible pipes Multilayer pipes including bundles Insulated and uninsulated metal pipes Mixed penetrations FEATURES Cartridge capacity: Colour: Reaction time: Drying time: Ready to cut: Increase in volume at 20 °C Yield: Storage temperature: Application temperature: 330ml dark brown about 10 sec about 30 sec Approx. 1 min 3-5 times (free expansion) 1000-1700ml approx. 5-35 °C 10-35 °C PACKAGING AND STORAGE Pack of 1 x 330ml cartridge equipped with a dispenser/mixer Under normal conditions (5-35°C) the product remains intact for 12 months APPLICATION METHOD 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. screw the mixer onto the cartridge and insert the cartridge into the spray gun; apply AF GRAPHIT FOAM starting from the furthest point, without immersing the mixing nozzle in the extruded product; fill the opening, reaching a minimum depth of 120 mm; avoid interrupting extrusion for more than five seconds to prevent sudden hardening of the material in the mixer; when hardened, remove the overowing edges with a cutter. Spray gun We recommend using the manual gun to apply the necessary force during the extrusion process. Using manual applied force the spray gun provides a quick and easy release of the mixed bicomponent product. SPECIFICATION Supply and application of intumescent semi-rigid foam AF GRAPHIT FOAM, made of two-component intumescent polyurethane polymer with free expansion of 3-5 times its original volume, contained in a 330 ml two-wire cartridge. The system is certified for EI 120/180 protection of wall and floor system penetrations.
